Good Standing with the District of Alaska:
- has been duly admitted to practice before the District of Alaska
- is not currently suspended or disbarred
- is currently registered with the District Court
- is not in arrears in the payment of any fees required by the Court
A US District of Alaska Attorney Good Standing Certificate is a one page document issued by the Clerk of the District Court which bears the seal of the Court and signature of the
Clerk of the Court.

- The Attorney must have been admitted to the practice of law in the state of Alaska
- The Attorney must be up to date and current with all state of Alaska registration requirements
- The Attorney must not be subject to any court orders which prohibit the practice of law in the state of Alaska
- The Attorney must have paid all costs, fees and fines which may be required by the state of Alaska
Any Attorney admitted to practice as an Attorney and counselor at law before the courts of the State of Alaska and who is in Good Standing under the rules of the Alaska Bar is eligible for admission to practice in the US District Court for the District of Alaska.
An Attorney in Good Standing of the bar of another jurisdiction besides the state of Alaska and who is not an active member of the bar of the US District of Alaska, may, upon motion, be permitted by the court to appear and participate on behalf of a party, but a non-local Attorney will ordinarily be required to associate with an active member of the bar of the US District of Alaska.
In some cases, the US District of Alaska may permit a member in good standing of the bar of another jurisdiction, on a sufficient showing, to appear and participate without association with an active member of the bar of the US District of Alaska.
