The Articles of Organization is a necessary document in all states for setting up a LLC.  Most states do not require a specific format for the Articles of Organization. However there are requirements for specific information which must be included in the Articles of Organization.  The required information that must be included in Articles of Organization varies from state to state.

Regardless of what the Articles of Organization state, the LLC is bound by the specific state laws in the state in which the LLC was formed.

You may subsequently amend the Articles of Organization for your LLC but you will have to pay a fee to the Secretary of State in order to make the changes official.
