An Attorney who is in Good Standing with the Western District of Michigan:

• has been duly admitted to practice before the Western District of Michigan
• is not currently suspended or disbarred
• is currently registered with the District Court
• is not in arrears in the payment of any fees required by the Court

A US Western District of Michigan Attorney Good Standing Certificate is a one page document issued by the Clerk of the District Court which bears the seal of the Court and signature of the Clerk of the Court. 

An appearance before the US Western District of Michigan on behalf of another party or a class may be made only by an Attorney who has been admitted to the Bar of or permitted to practice before the Court.

A valid expiration date is not written on a Western District of Michigan Attorney Good Standing Certificate.  The validity of a Western District of Michigan Attorney Certificate of Good Standing is usually determined by the intended recipient of the Good Standing Certificate.

Some jurisdictions require that the date on an Attorney Good Standing Certificate be within 30-60 days of its intended use while other jurisdictions will accept a Certificate which was issued less than one year ago.

A US Western District of Michigan Attorney Good Standing is issued by the Clerk of the Western District of Michigan Court.  Each Western District of Michigan Attorney Good Standing Certificate includes a signature from the Clerk of the Court as well the Seal of the US Western District of Michigan Court.

• The Attorney must have been admitted to the practice of law in the state of Michigan
• The Attorney must be up to date and current with all state of Michigan registration requirements
• The Attorney must not be subject to any court orders which prohibit the practice of law in the state of Michigan
• The Attorney must have paid all costs, fees and fines which may be required by the state of Michigan
