EASTERN DISTRICT OF MISSOURI ATTORNEY GOOD STANDING CERTIFICATE INFORMATION

An Attorney who is in Good Standing with the Eastern District of Missouri:

• has been duly admitted to practice before the Eastern District of Missouri
• is not currently suspended or disbarred
• is currently registered with the District Court
• is not in arrears in the payment of any fees required by the Court

A US Eastern District of Missouri Attorney Good Standing Certificate is a one page document issued by the Clerk of the District Court which bears the seal of the Court and signature of the Clerk of the Court. 

An appearance before the US Eastern District of Missouri on behalf of another party or a class may be made only by an Attorney who has been admitted to the Bar of or permitted to practice before the Court. 

Any attorney who is an active member in good standing of the Bar of the State of Missouri may apply to become a member of the Bar of the Eastern District of Missouri.

A US District Court Attorney Good Standing Certificate issued by the Clerk of the Eastern District of Missouri is legal proof that an Attorney has met all the requirements to practice before the Court.

When an Attorney who has been admitted to the Bar of the Eastern District of Missouri needs to appear before a US District Court other than the Eastern District of Missouri, that Court may require proof that the Attorney has been admitted to the Bar of the Eastern District of Missouri before they will allow the Attorney to practice before that Court.

An Attorney Good Standing Certificate issued by the Eastern District of Missouri is legal proof that the Attorney has fulfilled all requirements to practice before that Court.

Note that if you are a practicing attorney in one state and you need to practice in a District Court outside of your home state, that District Court usually requires certification from the highest court in Missouri.

A valid expiration date is not written on an Eastern District of Missouri Attorney Good Standing Certificate.  The validity of an Eastern District of Missouri Attorney Certificate of Good Standing is usually determined by the intended recipient of the Good Standing Certificate.

Some jurisdictions require that the date on an Attorney Good Standing Certificate be within 30-60 days of its intended use while other jurisdictions will accept a Certificate which was issued less than one year ago.

A US Eastern District of Missouri Attorney Good Standing is issued by the Clerk of the Eastern District of Missouri Court.  Each Eastern District of Missouri Attorney Good Standing Certificate includes a signature from the Clerk of the Court as well the Seal of the US Eastern District of Missouri Court.

In order to be in Good Standing with the US Eastern District of Missouri an Attorney must be in compliance with the following:

• The Attorney must have been admitted to the practice of law in the state of Missouri
• The Attorney must be up to date and current with all state of Missouri registration requirements
• The Attorney must not be subject to any court orders which prohibit the practice of law in the state of Missouri
• The Attorney must have paid all costs, fees and fines which may be required by the state of Missouri
