An Attorney who is in
Good Standing with the District of Utah:
- has been duly admitted to practice before the District of Utah
- is not currently suspended or disbarred
- is currently registered with the District Court
- is not in arrears in the payment of any fees required by the Court
A US District of Utah Attorney Good Standing Certificate is a one page document issued by the Clerk of the District Court which bears the seal of the Court and signature of the
Clerk of the Court.
An appearance before the US District of Utah on behalf of another party or a class may be made only by an Attorney who has been admitted to the Bar of or permitted to practice before
the Court.
Any attorney who is an active member in good standing of the Bar of the State of Utah may apply to become a member of the Bar of the District of Utah.

- The Attorney must have paid all costs, fees and fines which may be required by the state of Utah
Any Attorney who is an active member in Good Standing of the Utah State Bar is eligible for admission to the bar of the US District of Utah.
Motions for admission of bar applicants must be made orally or in writing by a member of the bar in Good Standing of the US District of Utah in open court.
Attorneys who are not active members of the Utah State Bar but who are members in Good Standing of the bar of the highest court of another state or the District of Columbia can be admitted to the US District of Utah Court pro hac vice
