An Attorney who is in Good Standing with the District of Connecticut:

• has been duly admitted to practice before the District of Connecticut
• is not currently suspended or disbarred
• is currently registered with the District Court
• is not in arrears in the payment of any fees required by the Court

A US District of Connecticut Attorney Good Standing Certificate is a one page document issued by the Clerk of the District Court which bears the seal of the Court and signature of the Clerk of the Court. 

An appearance before the US District of Connecticut on behalf of another party or a class may be made only by an Attorney who has been admitted to the Bar of or permitted to practice before the Court.

Some jurisdictions require that the date on an Attorney Good Standing Certificate be within 30-60 days of its intended use while other jurisdictions will accept a Certificate which was issued less than one year ago.

• The Attorney must have been admitted to the practice of law in the state of Connecticut
• The Attorney must be up to date and current with all state of Connecticut registration requirements
• The Attorney must not be subject to any court orders which prohibit the practice of law in the state of Connecticut
• The Attorney must have paid all costs, fees and fines which may be required by the state of Connecticut
